The Group
Is a Berlin based, improvising collective of musicians founded by Martyn Heyne, Peter Broderick, Casper Clausen, Francesco Donadello, and Greg Haines. Concert highlights have included Volksbühne and Radialsystem in Berlin, Schauspiel Leipzig, and Roskilde Festival. Many guests have performed with The Group including Andrea Belfi, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Anne Müller, Dustin O’Halloran, André de Ridder, Tatu Rönkkö, Ayumi Paul, and Jonas Westergaard.

THE GROUP is an ensemble of improvising musicians currently consisting of Casper Clausen (Efterklang), Greg Haines (UK), Martyn Heyne (D) and Francesco Donadello (IT). The ethos of the project is to remain an open unit, and because of this the group is playing with a whole host of other characters including Peter Broderick (a founding member), Andrea Belfi, Anne Müller & Jóhann Jóhannsson e.g. This concept is mirrored in the band-name, which is intended as a description rather than a title.
